It feels like an ‘accomplishment’ when one of your children graduates and goes off to college (x4 for me ) it’s bittersweet for sure but knowing how well you’ve prepared them, makes it slightly easier- 🥰congratulations Slade
I wish every child had such a thoughtful, loving dad. Imagine what our world could be if it was filled with “big hearted” men. Kudos to you and your lucky kids. 💗🌸💗
This is reminding me of studying in Madrid in 1982, and was something our señora would make for us…and then FaceTiming tonight with my daughter who will be sworn in to the Georgia Bar tomorrow, trying to put a suit together from Marshall’s and Nordstrom Rack. They are all such tremendous rites of passage-there are more of them than I expected when these “children” were smaller! and as much (quietly) rites for us as for them. Pack the tissues. ❤️
Congratulations on great parenting. It’s never completely easy, and it may yet get harder again given the world we live in. But your firstborn hitting milestones is always an eye opener.
Your tomato toast reminded me that it shouldn’t be too long before it’s time to make my mother’s tomato pie recipe.
I’ll have to spoon some of your tomato recipe onto my toast before dipping it into hummus. I love toasted rye bread with hummus and roasted eggplant.

Thanks Kelli!
