SOTU Rebuttal: No One Knows More About Fraud Than The President

In his address, Trump declared a war on fraud. He left a few things out.

Last night, President Trump stood before Congress and declared a war on fraud.

He claimed members of Minnesota’s Somali community have — and this is a direct quote — “pillaged an estimated $18 billion from the American taxpayer.” He tasked Vice President JD Vance to lead the charge. He said that if they find enough fraud, America could balance its budget overnight.

He also called on Congress to ban insider stock trading by members of the House and Senate. On that specific point? He’s not wrong. Bipartisan agreement exists. Good.

But the speech was notable for what the President chose not to say.
