Today, make your plan to vote

Voting wasn’t meant to be an act of courage, yet here we are.

Our right to vote came from the courage of many who came before us.

But today we have cowards in power, men of no real conviction for democracy, and they are so afraid of our vote — of the collective power guaranteed to us by the Constitution — that they have spewed disinformation from every institution they run to confuse us, threaten us, and discourage us from voting. It’s their top priority, and it’s caused more waste, fraud, and abuse than ever in modern history.

Today is No Kings Nationwide Day of Action for Early Voting. And you can go to NoKings.org

and find an event year you, but most importantly, just use today to make a plan to vote. The earlier, the better.

Your county has resources to help you vote that you might not know about. You can go directly to them if you know where to find them, or try a site I found useful: Iwillvote.com.

And here’s what you can do with it:

  1. Check the status of your voter registration

  2. Register to vote if it’s not too late.

  3. You can request a mail ballot from your county

    1. On that same page of your county website, you should also be able to view and download a sample ballot you can take your time to read, fill out, print, and use as a reference when you fill out your real ballot. Very handy.

  4. Check the status of your ballot if you’ve already voted

  5. Find your voting location and nearby ballot drop-off locations.

  6. Get guidance for voting while living abroad

  7. Learn more about voting and get your state’s voter hotline number.

It’s a great place to start. Highly recommended. I’m not getting paid to say this.

Go to Iwillvote.com for voting resources. And visit nokings.org for events and more resources.

Be kind, feed your mind, and vote with courage and confidence.
